Why Breadth & Depth?

Our name is a reflection of the breadth of globally-influenced baked goods and pastries we aim to create and the depth of flavor, care, and detail we want to showcase in our products.

In this exceptionally divisive time, we also hope our brand serves as a reminder to take a deep breath, and appreciate our commonality - love of simple joys and comforts, like a warm loaf of bread - despite the innumerous stressors of everyday life.

Breadth & Depth's founders, married couple Andrew & Ivy Narag, share a Filipino heritage and a love for food. Andrew cultivated his own sourdough starter in the summer of 2023 and has been baking in his free time since. With loving support from his wife, friends, and family, Andrew began pursuing the idea of opening a bakery after stepping away from engineering and getting married in the summer of 2024.
